My Promise

All the products I write about are “special” to me and loved by me…and by many of my friends and acquaintances that have asked for product advice.  Once I find a product that I’m interested in trying, I firstly read about the brand; its history, its practice, what the brand stands for and the ingredients they use. I use the product until it’s finished.  I’m consistent in my “testing” to give the product the best chance of performing and for me to clearly measure the results.

I’m not adverse to needles and I don’t judge people for their choices on this, but for me I have had a consistent and disciplined beauty routine for 22 years that has included oils, topical creams, facial rollers, masks, lights and lasers.  I have been consistent in my practice for 22 years to maintain a clear and youthful complexion.

On my blog I share the contents of my “beauty journal” as well as discuss new products I have tried and tested.

When I was 12 I developed a large interest in beauty products - initially makeup.  I was given a makeup book that quickly became my bible and I began painting the face of any willing victim…. my poor little sister has been subjected to every make up look in that book twice over.

My fascination grew as I read any articles and books, on the likes of legendary women such as Estee Lauder, Helena Rubinstein and Elizabeth Arden.  I love not only their stories, their incredible business minds but their absolute love of the beauty industry from mixing the lotions and potions to how they sold their products.

I went onto study Design and become a Fashion Buyer that has taken me all over the world for many years.  My obsession with anything beauty from face to hair to well being I believe goes hand in hand with fashion.  As a Buyer I am a natural researcher, I’m always looking for the new but absolutely respecting the tried, tested and proven.

I started to keep a “beauty journal”, of all the products I have bought and tried. This was 12 years ago.  I have spent endless hours every week researching and reading about the newest products, before buying and trying or coveting the beauty halls in many countries looking for a unique brand whilst on holidays!
